The Pepper Trail

This is not amusing. A hiatus has developed around Sir Michael Pepper. In 1993, under instruction, he wrote to me about “The Catt Question”. http://www.ivorcatt.co.uk/2812.htm . You agree with him. However, Nobel Prizewinner Brian Josephson, a Westerner, later said Pepper had changed his opinion on cattq http://www.ivorcatt.co.uk/cattq.htm , and is now a Westerner, now disagreeing with you, who are still a Southerner. You are not alone. http://www.ivorcatt.co.uk/9_review.htm

It is unacceptable that Pepper generate confusion about a core issue in science; where the charge comes from when a battery lights a lamp.

Pepper is now at m.pepper@ee.ucl.ac.uk

It is important for you to write to Pepper to ask him whether he still holds your view and the view he held in 1993. http://www.ivorcatt.co.uk/2812.htm

It is obvious to me that Pepper is a rascal interested in the future of Pepper but not in the future of science. You are free to approach him because you have never expressed contrary views about him. In the interests of science, he should reply to a courteous approach from you.

amusing to know I’m in good (or bad) company regarding my interpretation Smile[Pepper]

I will make due effort to absorb your findings in due course as I also agree with you that ‘the present establishment’ is myopic and I believe everyone deserves a fair chance! But one must be diplomatic in this endeavour as we know people being people will for political, personality or shear ineptness reasons alienate you otherwise.
