Nanotechnology – the future (of funding?)

We see that computers get smaller and smaller. Pepper is ahead of the crowd, realizing that the ultimate in this progress will be to do logic with atoms, “Nanotechnology”. Apparently one spin is a “1” and the other spin is a “0”. Why did nobody else realize that the money and prestige was in working towards the ultimate? Close to a second retirement, Pepper will be retired before the bottom drops out of the money stream for “nanotechnology”. The head of Pepper’s new university UCL loves it – the funding, that is.
